I can’t say enough about my wonderful stay at this hotel during an August 2023 birthday trip. From beginning to end, the amazing staff and manager went above and beyond to meet all of my needs. I felt safe, welcomed and I will definitely be back again. The rooms are impeccably clean and modern. The breakfast is something to look forward to everyday, and the beautiful woman on the staff will put a smile on your face everyday that you stay here. Don’t hesitate, book a stay here immediately! Boasting a terrace, bar and views of city, Ocean Suites is situated in Santa Maria, 100 metres from Praia de Santa Maria. The location was perfect between the beach and the Main Street. 2 mins walk to both. The staff were all lovely and went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome.

Hotel Da Luz has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Santa Maria. This 3-star hotel offers a bar. Everything was amazing! From the staff, facilities, and comfort. The staff was very attentive and helpful with anything that we needed. Breakfast was good with a good variety of food available. At lunchtime, we had tasty and cheep options available. The room had air conditioning, perfectly clean room and beds were comfortable. Slightly further away from the beach but a walkable distance and closer to the locals than to the turistival part of Santa Maria. Very quiet too. We felt at home.

Facing the beachfront, Hotel Odjo d'água offers 4-star accommodation in Santa Maria and has an outdoor swimming pool, garden and shared lounge. We loved the location, the staff was very nice and helpful and especially the cleaning staff, they were so nice and kept it very clean everyday, the room smelled great! It’s the most unique and boutique hotel we’ve stayed at on the island! A lot of flowers all around and great decorated room, it reminds me of Capri in Italy. Don’t forget to take a massage at Alma’s spa, she’s lovely.

And the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Few four star hotels match their stars with the quality of the premises and offering. Hotel morabeza does deliver the goods.

Located in Santa Maria, 600 metres from Praia de Santa Maria, Sobrado Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. A great hotel. The rooms were clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable. USB plus made it easy to charge everything. The breakfast and dinners were delicious and a reasonable price to add onto your stay. Staff was really helpful for addressing any issues in a timely fashion and helping to set up activities. They also gave great recommendations for food and things to do. The hotel is walking distance to the beach. Our room overlooked a lot, not nice in itself, but the benefit was we had an unobstructed view of the sunsets!

Situated 300 metres from Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows in Santa Maria, Porto Antigo Hotel BB welcomes guests with a restaurant and bar. Rooms have a TV. Porto Antigo is a really beautiful Hotel! Our apartment had direct access to a small beach! This was perfect four the kids. The pool is also very nice an close to the pool there is another small beach without stones our rocks in the water...also perfect four children!! The apartment was perfectly clean and you have the basic equipment for cooking!! We spent a really good time in Porto Antigo and I will definitely come another time when I go to Sal.

Hotel MiraBela is a 3-star bed and breakfast located in the centre of Santa Maria and within 100 metres from the beach. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a balcony. The hotel is located on the main street and so just 2 min walk to the beach, very convenient! You can get a filled water bottle and when it's empty, they'll refill it so you can bring it along. The breakfast was lovely and you had different options which was good. I also want to give a big big big thank you to Simone, she made me feel so safe as a solo female traveller and give me tips. She reassured me a lot of times. Thank you to Lisandro as well!
