The views from the Room were fantastic, overlooking the blue waters. The room was comfortable, bathroom with tub was good and the Balcony to sit in and soak in the views. The Staff was particularly helpful with Parking, arranging a photographer, etc. The breakfast has good spread with very attentive staff. Good conversations as well.

We thought about other areas of the island, but we decided on here instead. We are so glad we did because it was way more private than the other areas of the island and still within a 10-15 minute walk to shops and restaurants.

Location was amazing, very close to a small traditional town with restaurants and shops. The set-up for the family was great. The jacuzzi was a very nice addition. Beds were very very comfortable. Parking was very useful. The check in was smooth, and they cleaned the room every day with fresh towels and linen. We loved everything about it. Thank you !

The lady at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. She went way over and above. The place was nice but she was perfect!

You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants.
Megalokhori itself is very small village, it’s worth a little stroll down to. Also lovely homemade lemonade served in the little bar there.

Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses, churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. Met many friendly people; visited cozy restaurants and enjoyed tasty meals. Hope to visit many more times in future!

The property is absolutely immaculate!!
The property is absolutely immaculate!! Romantic & Relaxaing!!
Complimentary breakfast was excellent, too!!
Public Transportation not easily accessable - eventhough the bus stop is only a 3 minutes walk. The sidewalk isn't user friendly - very Narrow & lots of outgrown weeds. You can take a bus to Fira from that bus stop - just do it in the morning - at night that area isn't walkable - from Megalochori to Fira is only 1,60 euros. However, from Fira took Uber back to hotel is about 36 Euros! After you arrived Fira bus station, you can take another bus to Oia for another 1,60 euros.
We shouldn't have booked a split level room because there's a steep stairs to climb up to your bed :(

Megalochori is just a small village 5 kms south of the city centre Fira. It is less touristic and will suit people seeking for accommodation that is not so busy and hectic. It has some good restaurants and even a winery that sells fantastic red and rosè wine.

The village is very traditional and much less touristy than the other towns. There is a good selection of restaurants (7/8 maybe) and all of them are lovely, only 1 or 2 serve breakfast though. There are some lovely vineyards in the village too, some cooking classes and horse riding excursions. It's a small village so not huge amounts to do so more of a relaxing base from which to explore the Island. There was a small shop although the opening times were sporadic so we stocked up at the larger supermarkets just out of the village.
We hired a car to get around and there is free parking in the village, the island is very small so it only takes 40 minutes to get to the other side, I think the local busses call through too although we didn't use these.
We went with our 2-year-old who loved the local playground, although there were a lot of cobbles (as with all the villages) which made the buggy difficult.

This town was a great location on the island.
This town was a great location on the island. Not to close to the over touristed towns but easy access to them. The Town has everything you need, good restaurants, wineries and the best bakery in the island.
The location was fantastic, the view was just magnificent. The room looks over the Caldera and the sea . Sunset and sunrise was absolutely breathtaking. The host Mr. Dimitrios was very friendly and helpful, he guided us to the hotel and gave us an early check-in.The room was beautiful with a double bed and a single bed, a dining table, a fridge, a water heater and kitchen utensils. The bathroom was also spatious and clean. The surrounding was extremely peaceful and serene. Very close to the Megalochori bus stop.
really like the location if you’re renting a car. Santorini at this time is quite closed up. Most of the town is closed. This part of the island is very quiet and peaceful. If that’s what you’re looking for it is a great location.
Great parking.
Wonderful views from the front
Close to a few supermarkets by driving
interesting little village nearby
20 to 30 minutes drive to famous scenic areas
personally I would not like to stay in those areas
too crowded and too expensive
We had a week in this really lovely villa with beautiful dipping pools, rooftop terrace and a hammock. Megalochori is a traditional village with plenty of restaurants and wineries to visit and lots to do nearby - so an excellent base. Host Nikos was extremely helpful and sorted out car hire and a boat trip. The villa was very clean on arrival and also had a daily hotel style maid service which felt very luxurious.
Amazing view from room and villa; two pools that were perfect - one refreshing and the other soothing and warm; super friendly staff and delicious food options, including a variety of menu for breakfast each morning that is included with stay. Pretty much everything about the hotel was super. We especially enjoyed the fact that it was close to Magalochori and Pyrgos.
Everything was perfect in Abelonas. maximum cleanliness, very comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Maritina made our stay more pleasant with her advice and her smile. Very practical villa location for anyone who prefers the low cost travel of the local bus. Absolute recommendation for anyone choosing Santorini for a vacation😊

The ideal location to stay in Santorini.
A place of calmness and privacy in the middle of a cosmopolitan island. Elegant and luxurious.
Magnificent panoramic view of the whole island, the volcano and the Aegean Sea followed by breathtaking sunsets.
Very friendly staff always at your service.
Great value for money!
The hotel room was amazing, clean, and well-designed. Incredible view from the private pool. Everything was brand new. Christina, the host/manager, was absolutely incredible - she was so helpful booking taxis and suggesting things to do. Not typical Santorini prices for what felt like a luxury room.
The location of the hotel is perfect.
5 min from the hotel is the local bus station that can take you to Fira or to Acrotiri and back
The breakfast was great with many selections.
The room was big with plenty of space
and natural light.
The hotel star staff is amazing. It's the second time that we stay here because we like very much this area of Santorini island and in this hotel we can enjoy the swimming pool before going to see the sunset over the volcano.
Great reception and stuff. Perfect breakfast with many options to choose and great dinner menu as well. You feel very well treated there the whole time. Great! For sure I will go again once I come visit Santorini again.

thanks
The 3 bedrooms flat was amazing and very well furnished with a Mediterrenean style. The location in the small village of Megalochory is perfect if you want to escape from the crowded part of Santorini.
